Iwasaki Honpo, in collaboration with Super Mario x JR Kyushu's 'Let's go Kyushu!' campaign, has released a special Super Mario Kakuni Manju set. These steamed buns are filled with 'kakuni,' a regional specialty of simmered pork belly.
The set features three uniquely designed manju, each representing a different Super Mario power-up: Super Mushroom (pink), Fire Flower (original), and Super Star (yellow, with curry powder). The combination of savory meat and fluffy dough promises an unforgettable flavor.
The Super Mario Kakuni Manju Set is available online at Iwasaki Honpo's shop for 2,300 yen (US$14.41), excluding shipping. It's the perfect snack to enjoy while exploring Kyushu!
