Luxury private booths are coming to Japan's Shinkansen bullet trains between Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka sooner than expected! Starting October 1st, travelers can experience enhanced comfort and privacy on select N7000S-series Tokaido Shinkansen trains.
Get ready for a more luxurious Shinkansen experience! JR Central is introducing private booths on the Tokaido Shinkansen line, connecting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. These exclusive compartments offer enhanced privacy and comfort for discerning travelers.
The private booths will feature larger, more comfortable seating with wraparound armrests, deeper reclining, and extending footrests. Each booth also includes a dedicated Wi-Fi network, adjustable lighting, and climate controls, ensuring a premium travel experience.
Initially available on a limited number of trains starting October 1st, JR Central plans to gradually expand the service. While pricing is yet to be announced, expect the private booths to cost more than the Green Car (first-class) tickets.
